The previews, zoom and the old intuos-3 are much happier happy now.Business Central Setup installs some software if it isn't already present in the target computer. Like Gerry Pasternack I'm of the opinion the Win build gets fixed last. I would like to see what specific hardware others use and if there are any performance issues whether it be Win or Mac. I would keep no presets selected and left pane closed if not using presets at that time. I have also notice when in "edit" if the left preset pane is open with a group open like Landscape, any adjustments made to your image will then be made to every one of the left pane style windows before control is given back to the mouse making it momentarily unusable. That's in comparison to the speed in Foundations part1 - Editing your first photo from the "bonus" files they include with Raw 19. The good news is performance went from hurky jerky to a little slow.

I have a 6700K with a Radeon RX480 with 32g ram and SSD's so I would say performance should be crisper on your system.Īfter visiting the ON1 support page and reading someone's comment about updating video drivers I thought I'd give it a try. Looks like you have a fairly up to date Win system. I tried a couple of tests before writing this and could not duplicate in the release version. Once the initial delay is done then things seem okay. I had seen some start/setup slowdown with masking brush at 100% view. I just tried one test on a sky replace I did with the new layers feature.

Mostly in the public beta and I have not done much testing after release. There seems to be some overhead here setting up for the new layer. I have seen some slowdowns when selecting a different layer.

There is the odd mouse stutter at times but very infrequent and not reproducible. I have not seen any slowdown, hiccups with normal edits in the develop and effects panel. I have monitoring bugs loaded in the system tray showing CPU %, GPU %, GPU clock, system mem % and GPU mem %. I think I can hear some fan spin up very slightly, and briefly when I load/edit a new raw file. The GPU fan is harder to hear when it ramps up speed compared to the CPU cooler fan. I changed that to a low 800rpm to start and then ramp up as needed. My GPU is one of those EVGA ACX 3.0 models where then have the fans (2 92mm) off by default until heat reaches a certain level. CPU cooler is a 120MM tower cooler with 120mm fan. As for fans mid tower case with 5 120mm cases fans at a slow 800RPM. So annoying that it is a dealbreaker for me. It's very annoying after coming from a supersmooth LR or Capture One.

In other words.Computer power is not the issue. I am running this on Win10, Intel 8700K with a massive fan, Geforce 1080ti and 16 GB RAM.

Also, my processorfan is acting like Cessna on takeoff when doing this, so the code seems pretty crappy. Sometimes when adding contrast it takes 0.5 second before the result shows up. Quite often there's a micro-lag after pushing the sliders. The bad part seems to be a very sluggish UI. And I kind of like the sharpening algorithm. I seem to get a great "pop" much quicker in ON1. Also, the sliders are more aggressive but without destroying the image. The overall look I get from my RAW files seems better with more natural yet punchy colors compared to lightrooms color profiles. So I have downloaded the trial and my first impression in terms of IQ is that this is very promising.
